Shalom Friend and Family!

We have already been so blessed by God on day one of our journey to the Holy Land. Our flight to Istanbul landed half an hour early, which was much appreciated after more than nine hours in the air. Then, the gate to our connecting flight to Tel Aviv happened to be only a few gates down from where we landed, so we had plenty of time to get through security and use the bathroom. We touched down in Tel Aviv right on time with everyone safely in tow, gathered our luggage (none of which was lost!), and made our way into the city! On the bus to the hotel, George said, “God favors you.”, and we could not agree more after our smooth travels.
Our hotel rests on the shore of the Mediterranean Sea. Hopefully we’ll be able to have our morning devotion by the water. We enjoyed a delicious supper upon arrival and are excited to explore Israel tomorrow morning. Our prayer for the evening is that no one suffers too much jet lag with the seven hour time difference! We cannot wait to see what God has in store for us!
