Not a Tourist but An Investment
As the Heart of God tour draws to a close, our Rabbi, George DeJong reminds us that we are not tourists, but rather we are investments. This trip was God’s investment into us. As George explains, a tourist is there for entertainment, they want to go where the road is easy and comfortable. Investments are there to learn and to grow, they climb up thorn and thistle laden mountains to see with their eyes and hear with their ears.
An investment expects to give a return. A tourist is just looking for an experience. As investments we will take what we have learned and use it for the glory of God. We will use the blessings God poured on us to pour out to those around us. Isn’t that what we should all strive to do in this life? A tourist is just there for the experience, an investment expects to provide a a return. Lord, may our lives be worthy investments, that we will pour out for your Kingdom and your glory!
